The hotel was very clean and the bedroom well laid out and ideal on the ground floor. We had a set of french doors straight out to the gardens and duck pond, which was maintained only to hold the banks with reeds and water friendly plants. The pond had numerous nesting Moore Hens, at our time of visit doing a great job of nursing their brood of chicks. As we went into the early evening we also saw, and definitely heard the croaking frogs. A real treat to our stroll around the grounds with an Aperol. The restaurant located just across the drive way was well placed, roomy and the food/wine menu had a great selection.

Stayed here before a few times years ago and last December so knew what to expect and it did not disappoint. This room was slightly larger than the previous one but, surprising as it was Easter week and school holidays, cheaper. For our December visits we stayed in the middle of St Omer - smaller room, noisier, no parking, more expensive and no ambiance, and the second visit was the Chateau. For the sake of a ten / fifteen minute drive the Chateau wins over St Omer.

Great location - beautiful building and grounds, well mentained and presented. Staff very friendly and accommodating - we arrived late (Eurotunnel delaying us by over 2 hours) at 00:30 and had no problems checking in. Not sure how busy the hotel was at the time of our stay, but there was ample spare parking space- a huge bonus when arriving at an unsociable hour. We slept well, and enjoyed a good breakfast - good quality and choice of food.

The Chateau is an impressive building and we got to stay in it ! our room was in the roof and not too large , but fine for a one night stay . We had access to a fantastic swimming pool , located in a modern block on same site , two minute walk from the main building .The meals were taken in a separate building styled for wedding receptions , and the grounds with lake and statuary were very pleasant to walk and relax in

This is a beautiful old country house in a very quiet location. The room was very small, but clean, and the ensuite had high quality fittings. The bed was comfortable. There is a very pleasant bar, and the restaurant food was of the highest quality. There was plenty of choice for breakast. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. There is also a swimming pool, which I cannot comment on, as I did not use it!
